Ok Ive just started to catch on to sadscript and I know some of the basics.Like this tut.

Dificulty:
Total Newbies:3
Regular scripter:1
Advanced scripter:0

Ok lets go into main.txt and to edit/find then put in "OnDeath".Then scroll down and find this:

Code: [Select]
mapnum = GetVar("Classes\Class" & i & ".ini", "CLASS", "Map")
y = GetVar("Classes\Class" & i & ".ini", "CLASS", "y")
x = GetVar("Classes\Class" & i & ".ini", "CLASS", "x")

Call PlayerWarp(index, mapnum, x, y)
End Sub

And change it to this:

Code: [Select]

mapnum = GetVar("Classes\Class" & i & ".ini", "DEATH", "DeathMap")
y = GetVar("Classes\Class" & i & ".ini", "DEATH", "Deathy")
x = GetVar("Classes\Class" & i & ".ini", "DEATH", "Deathx")

Call PlayerWarp(index, mapnum, x, y)
End Sub

Bug related:Make sure you change "CLASS" to "DEATH"

Now newbies after this point will change it and go into the game and say they found like an error thats because its not done.This is were you choose which class goes to which death place.Goto one of the classes and goto the end and make it so theres a space between where we are about to type and the last spell.Put "[Death]" you can always change it.Then under put Exactly what you put in the changed OnDeath code!
EX.Since I went ahead and put DeathMap it should look like this (exactly)
Code: [Select]

Spell30= 0

[DEATH]
DeathMap= 1
Deathy= 1
Deathx= 1

Bug Related:Make sure the thing above DeathMap is exactly what you put in the script (look in bug related)so bascily just put down exactly what I put down it will be easier.

Make sure you put a space between the = and the number!
Once this is done goto the other classes and choose the map and cordinates you want with each class to goto when they die.

"So your saying why not leave it as?"
Because if you did you would goto where you first start when you make that character with that class.Instead if you want someone to goto like a heavon or spirit world when they die.Also if you use this you can make like a cleric goto heavon and a like necromancer goto like a spirit world.

Does anyone think I should change the dificulty level?

Also if there are any problems tell me.

One last thing I haven't fully tested this so dont come flaming about it not working.

PS.This is working and the bug is gone

Note that it might take a few secs to warp the player.

Lol you can change the difficult to 1 for total newbs and 0 for everyone else, ;) and eh we have def already come up with good on death scripts... like why not allow them to select what town they want to be a resident in and stuff, and well i guess its cool if it has to do with you're game, And eh... please only post 100% WORKING scripts, i didnt test it, but don't post crap you did not test yet, all we need is 50 billion newbs asking questions on how to fix the damn script.  Thanks ;)

Ye well post it on the EB forum's i wasn't saying its crap i'm just saying people should be able to script something like that on their own, teach them don't give them crap... i mean then you will have to answer questions forever and no one learns anything, that is a very easy script maybe some newb could learn from it if it wasn't just handed over ya know?

Sounds like I should go garner some respect over at this "EB" place... but then I realised it was elysium blue. Does anyone even use that anymore?

Ye i know simple scirpts is a wonderful way to "simply" learn, but chances are if you just hand them the script they won't even read the crap, just copy and paste and then guess what, they don't learn jack, gotta make em work a little for em to learn :D
