Optional fade-in welcome screen, automatic detailed LOG file generation, ability to limit install to only certain OS's, easy file type association, and much much more!

Plan All the Way to the End

The ending is everything.  Plan all the way to it, taking into account all the possible consequences, obstacles, and twists of fortune that might reverse your hard work and give the glory to others.  By planning to the end you will not be overwhelmed by circumstances and you will know when to stop.  Gently guide fortune and help determine the future by thinking far ahead.

if i were you i would use the click team one. It also has a patch updator, so after you make the installer and later on if u need to make whole update on the client folder just use the patch update to make an installer that updates right over the old one, so they dont have to delete the folder then download the update, beaucse that always leads to problems. using the patch updater it instals right over the old file, so no problems!

CLickTeam software sux, maybe just Patch Maker is good but all the other "products" aren't worth it(i've got Install Creator Pro and i'm sorry i got it).

Inno Setup is very powerful but could work a bit more on the compression.

Haven't tried the other's listed but i can tell you that Tarma is so far the best installer maker i've used(and the good part is that here the program does actualy use 100KB to pack all its stuff(cuz install creator pro says the same but takes like 1-2MB).

Inno Setup is a really good installer and I have NEVER got any spyware that way. + it depends on what you visit on the net that gives you spyware. Their intention is to bring a really good installer. Not spyware.

what these programs do are they take your client folder and makes it into an installer. this way people can install your game into a directory of their choice and some even create desktop icons and start menu shortcuts.

i used an installer for bane of magic yesterday...if u dont know what it is...go download my game and see xD
Having you as an administrator on this forum is like looking after a 5 year old child. I work hard to make a play area which allows everyone to have fun in their own way. People do constructive things, talk amongst themselves about their project and goals.

Then you come in. You shit yourself, take the nappy and start whirling it around. You start screaming, throwing shit around and generally pissing everyone off. Whilst you're doing all of this you're obviously affecting everyone else's free time. When you're done you refuse to clean it up, vow to do it again, then fall asleep on the floor in a puddle of your own excrement.

Can you include the whole Ascentive Library file and have it install it cause thats what people initially need to play an Eclipse game.
