Trias Tale : When Worlds Collide
« on: June 23, 2010, 07:17:55 PM »

The games website

Thousands of years ago two worlds collided.
This impact caused the planets to set a great amount of energy free.
Energy from two different worlds combined to a strong vigor and created a beast which you couldn't tame.
Many heroes from different lands came to fight the beast but they all failed and lost their lives.
The legend tells that three forces fused into one immense power and sealed the beast for 500 years.

Now...
after 500 years of peace we need new heroes to repeat the tale.

- Fully custom graphics
- Paperdoll
- Player Trade
- Innovative Economy
- World Map
- Great balanced classes
- Dynamic Spritesize

Every class starts well balanced so it can fight monsters solo and do quests on it's own.
After a while the specific stats of the classes evolve great while others stay low.
Like this we have three classes wich have great benifits in a group but are quite weak alone.
The whole classes are balanced like that to force social interaction after some progress.

- Berserker [DamageDealer]
  • High (DMG) damage
  • DOT (DamageOverTime) skills (Single enemy + AOE)
  • Selfbuff (raises DMG for a specific time)
  • Enemy Debuff (DEF) lower defense for a specific time
  • Low (DEF) defense
  • Low (HP) health points

- Guardian [Tank]
  • High (DEF) defense
  • High (HP) health points
  • Stun skills
  • Pulling Aggro skills
  • Low (DMG) damage
  • No (DMG) damage skills

- Sorcerer [Healer]
  • High (INT) intelligence
  • Ranged Magical DMG (damage) skills
  • Self-Deaggro
  • HOT (HealingOverTime) skills
  • Low (DMG) damage
  • Low (DEF) defense

Spoiler for (Loumen Village tiles):
Spoiler for (Tribes / Tiki Land):
Spoiler for (Graveyard / Swamp themed map):
Spoiler for (Creepy Crypt):

The game looks nice, except the tiles seem way to kiddy for the storyline, especially the monsters in the screenshot. You're pretty good at pixellng, I would've expected you to make new tiles. Other then that, fix the spelling and grammar errors in your storyline and your WIP will look great :)

Thank you. I prefer "kiddy" styled and cute graphics.
Fixing my grammer is not easy if you don't see any mistakes. ;)
English is my third language, i am giving my best but some mistakes stay invisible for my eyes.

I like kiddy graphics too, but they don't seem to match with the game, at least not the monsters. If you were to change the happy faces on all of the "monsters" then I think it might look better :)

Damn you for changing your name, Konsty. You made me spend 10 minutes looking for Punika, the dude I thought you ripped graphics from. Then I realised you were him.

What do you think about this monster:

whooo scary isn't it? P: One of the graveyard monsters.
The graveyard is one of five lands wich you can enter in our first testing stage.

BTW I released the SIN Online graphcis for free use somewhere.
Don't remember where.

Lol, dude. What's this? Your 5th game?

I really wish you would finish a game! Like, seriously. You made me wait for so long to play Tales of Wander then you dropped it. And there were many more before that one.

Well, the graphic isn't really new as I seen it but I know you'll make some newer, more awesome-er graphic.
I wish you all the luck and I want you to finish this one. I'm dying to play one of your game.

Sincerely,
Rithy

Nah, as you can see everything that's needed story-wise is done. (:
But thank you anyways.

@Rithy ... well, my biggest problem was allways the engine + coding.
Noone managed to crate an engine which I can use without additional programming (Of course I understand why...)
And as soon as I decided to use one of the "crappy" engines noone was willing to code.
After Tales of Wonder I had to go to the air force. And I was sick of this scene anyway. Everyone was promising so much and has done nothing (including myself...)

Now as there is a great engine and I have someone to code all I need (one of the best coders out there..but underrated so I won't announce him untill you see his great work) I am ready to work on a beast.

I have used these graphcis because I like them, my favourites in style.
Why dumping good work? ;) But there are a lot of additions to come since we have a stable and great plan how to work on what. Just stay tuned. I won't update with simple stuff. Just some "bigger" updates will be posted.

Trias Tale [Graveyard/Swamp themed Tiles] * update*
« Reply #18 on: June 26, 2010, 08:25:49 PM »
Yep there we go with the first real update.
I have finished some nice tiles to match the graveyard/Swamp theme.
Next step are some graveyard monsters.

// EDIT:
I'd happily appreciate some ideas for objects wich would fit a graveyard/swamp theme.

Those monster designs look incredibly familiar...
